WELCOME to TRANScendARTS

About

Created and led by Sid Ryan Eilers (they/them), founder of EILERS Dance Theatre, this program grows from over 25 years of teaching, creating, and performing, and a commitment to building spaces of belonging for queer and trans youth.

Rooted in Sid’s lived experience as a trans artist, TRANScendARTS emerges from a deep understanding of what it means to long for spaces where you can be fully seen, and from the belief that movement is a powerful tool for self-expression, connection, and transformation.

TRANScendARTS is a creative movement and contemporary dance program for young people of all identities, with a focus on supporting trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive participants. Through dance, storytelling, music, improvisation, and collaborative play, participants build coordination, confidence, and creativity while exploring self-expression and connection in a supportive and joyful environment.
